Water Rights Engineering
Water supply and water rights investigations within the context of the Colorado Water Court system require expertise in hydrology and water rights administration. Water rights filings and developing augmentation plans requires technical analyses, communication of results, negotiations with other water right owners and close working relationships with water attorneys, development of expert witness reports and presentation of expert testimony in court.
These efforts include:
- Various levels of hydrologic and water rights analyses, historical use studies and water rights evaluations
- Conducting site visits, interviewing landowners, irrigators, water commissioners and division engineers to analyze water use practices
- Identifying appropriate analysis method and software or program to use for specific site, available information and associated data records, etc.
